My name is Lacey and I’m a competitive cyclist and soon to be Dietitian (RD to be). Being an athlete from the age of seven I realized early on that food was important for my performance. However, it wasn't until I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease at the age of 17 that I became more aware of the impact that foods had on my digestive health, energy levels and ability to concentrate. I began to research nutrition in my free time and the more I learned, the more I wanted to know.
Not surprisingly, I chose to pursue a career in nutrition and graduated in 2017 with my undergrad in nutrition and Dietetics from Louisiana State University. After that, I completed my dietetic internship and am now just one test away from finishing this journey. My ultimate goal as a nutrition professional is to debunk all of the inaccurate information and provide clients with the education and guidance that will help them in achieving their fitness goals and long-term health!
Aside from nutrition, I am also heavily involved in my local cycling community and aspire to find a job that will allow me to tie together my passion for bikes and sports nutrition upon passing my board exam.
